Pakistan Receives $3.63 Billion in Remittances During July 2026

Pakistan received $3.631 billion in overseas workers’ remittances during July 2026, marking a 4.5% increase compared with the previous month and a 13% rise from the same month last year. The latest figures highlight the continued contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the country’s external account and economic activity. Remittance inflows also provide an important source of income for households that depend on funds sent by family members working abroad.

Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances during the month, with overseas Pakistanis sending $914 million from the country. The amount represented an 11% year-on-year increase from $824 million in July 2025 and was also 10% higher than the $830 million recorded in June 2026. The strong inflow from Saudi Arabia continued to make the country a key contributor to Pakistan’s monthly remittance receipts.

Remittances from the United Arab Emirates reached $737 million in July, rising 11% year-on-year from $665 million. However, the UAE figure declined 7% compared with the $792 million recorded in June. Meanwhile, Pakistanis in the United Kingdom sent $555 million during July, representing a 23% increase from $450 million a year earlier. Remittances from the United States stood at $317 million, while inflows from European Union countries reached $462 million.

The latest monthly figure follows a strong performance during the previous fiscal year. Overseas workers’ remittances increased 9% to $41.6 billion during July-June FY26, compared with $38.3 billion in the preceding fiscal year. The continued growth has helped support Pakistan’s external account while providing additional foreign exchange inflows and supplementing disposable incomes for remittance-dependent households.

The government continues to promote the use of formal channels for sending remittances and has introduced measures intended to sustain the flow of funds from overseas Pakistanis. With July 2026 recording more than $3.6 billion in inflows, remittances have started FY27 on a strong note. The latest performance further underscores the importance of overseas Pakistani earnings to Pakistan’s financial stability and broader economy.
