Bitget Wallet Card Introduces Cashback in Bitcoin Gold and Stocks

Bitget Wallet has introduced Assetback, a new cashback program that allows eligible Bitget Wallet Card users to receive rewards in digital and tokenized assets instead of conventional cash or loyalty points. Under the program, users can choose Bitcoin, gold in the form of XAUT, or tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds as their preferred cashback option, while stablecoins are also available as an alternative. The tokenized investment options include exposure to NVIDIA, Tesla, Google and the S&P 500 through xStocks, Payward’s tokenized equity framework. The Bitget Wallet Card is available in more than 50 markets and can be used globally through Visa and Mastercard networks, bringing crypto-based payment services closer to conventional card spending.

With Assetback, users select their preferred reward asset in advance, after which eligible cashback is automatically converted into that asset following qualifying purchases. According to Bitget Wallet, eligible users can earn up to 3% asset cashback. The model removes the need for users to open a separate brokerage account, use another investment application or manually make an investment after every purchase. Instead, routine card spending can gradually accumulate selected assets over time. The company describes the approach as bringing the concept of dollar-cost averaging into everyday spending, allowing users to build exposure to Bitcoin, gold, stocks and ETFs through recurring cashback rather than receiving traditional fiat rewards, airline miles or retail points.

The launch also expands the potential use of tokenized real-world assets by connecting them directly with everyday payment activity. Rather than limiting tokenized assets to trading and investment platforms, Assetback allows eligible users to receive them as rewards from regular purchases. This includes fractional exposure to selected US equities and ETFs alongside Bitcoin and tokenized gold. Bitget Wallet Chief Operating Officer Alvin Kan said the program changes the traditional cashback model by allowing each eligible purchase to contribute toward the accumulation of investment assets. The company believes this approach can make digital assets more relevant to everyday financial activity while creating an additional incentive for users to use crypto wallets for routine payments.

The introduction of Assetback comes as crypto payment card activity continues to grow. According to figures cited by Bitget Wallet, monthly crypto card payment volume reached $656 million in May 2026, compared with $271 million during the same period a year earlier, while cumulative sector payment volume exceeded $7.8 billion. Bitget Wallet also reported that spending through its own card nearly tripled during the first half of 2026, with spending frequency, transaction values and purchasing categories increasingly resembling those associated with traditional consumer payment cards. The company currently serves more than 100 million users worldwide and offers a self-custodial payment infrastructure that combines card payments, QR payments, bank transfers and an in-app shop.

Assetback is available globally from August 1, 2026, adding another use case for crypto wallets by linking everyday purchases with automated accumulation of digital and tokenized assets. The program reflects the growing convergence between cryptocurrency, payments and tokenization, as financial platforms experiment with alternatives to conventional card rewards. By allowing eligible users to select Bitcoin, gold, tokenized stocks, ETFs or stablecoins as cashback, Bitget Wallet is positioning card rewards as a mechanism that can connect routine consumer spending with digital asset ownership and investment exposure.
