Tasdeeq Completes Book Building Process As General Public Portion Opens August 11

Tasdeeq has completed the two-day book building process for its initial public offering, marking a significant step in the company’s transition toward becoming a listed company. The company expressed its appreciation to institutional investors, high net-worth individuals and foreign investors who participated in the book building process, while recognising the responsibility that comes with the trust placed in the company by the investment community. Following the conclusion of the book building process, Tasdeeq said the results are now known and described the confidence shown by investors as adding a further layer of responsibility to the company. The successful completion of the process represents an important stage in Tasdeeq’s journey toward listing and places greater expectations on the company as it prepares to operate as a publicly listed business.

The company acknowledged that participation in a book building process represents more than simply submitting an investment bid. According to Tasdeeq, a bid represents capital being placed at risk based on an investor’s judgement about the company’s future. The company highlighted this perspective while thanking the investors who participated in its book, recognising the confidence demonstrated by their investment decisions. Tasdeeq also credited Topline Securities Ltd, its Consultant to the Issue, for playing a key role in the transaction. The company said Topline Securities had the challenging task of explaining a business model that had not previously been listed in the region to a market that had not previously priced such a business. The company specifically acknowledged Sohail Mohammed and the Topline Securities team for their work throughout the process.

According to Tasdeeq, the successful response from investors was supported by weeks of engagement and explanation. The company noted that while being oversubscribed within seconds may appear to be a market event, the outcome was actually supported by an extended process of discussions, meetings and responses to investor questions. Tasdeeq credited Topline Securities with handling these interactions with skill, honesty and persistence. The company’s IPO process now moves toward the next stage, with the general public portion scheduled to open on August 11. This will provide members of the general public with an opportunity to participate in the offering following the completion of the book building stage.

Tasdeeq operates within Pakistan’s financial ecosystem as a credit bureau, with its business connected to credit information and financial inclusion. Its public offering therefore represents an important development for the country’s capital market as a financial technology and credit information business moves toward becoming a listed company. The company also emphasised that completing the IPO should not be viewed as the final achievement. Instead, Tasdeeq described the completion of the process as the beginning of the responsibilities associated with being a listed company. The company stated that the work of operating as a listed entity would be harder than the work required to reach the listing stage.

Tasdeeq further described the outcome of the book building process as a mandate rather than simply an achievement. With the transition to a listed company, the organisation will have a significantly larger group of stakeholders and investors to whom it will be accountable. This shift is expected to bring greater responsibilities in terms of corporate performance, transparency and engagement with the market. The successful completion of the book building process places Tasdeeq closer to becoming a publicly listed company on Pakistan’s capital market. With the general public portion scheduled to open on August 11, the IPO will now move into its next phase, while the company prepares for the responsibilities and expectations that accompany its transition into a listed entity.
