SECP Organizes Talk Series Session to Explore Cryptocurrency and Tokenization Landscape

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan continues its highly anticipated knowledge sharing initiative with an upcoming installment of its specialized talk series. This latest session focuses directly on the rapidly evolving global digital asset paradigm under the title of the cryptocurrency and tokenization landscape. Scheduled to take place in the middle of June, the event aims to explore how digital assets are actively reshaping global financial systems and unlocking unprecedented economic opportunities within the modern digital economy. By organizing these specialized dialogues, the regulatory authority highlights its commitment to fostering deep institutional understanding regarding disruptive technologies and their broader systemic implications.

To provide comprehensive academic and practical insight into this complex subject, the regulatory body is hosting Dr. Naveed Ul Hassan as the primary guest speaker for the event. Dr. Hassan currently serves as an Associate Professor within the Department of Electrical Engineering at the prestigious Lahore University of Management Sciences, which is widely recognized as LUMS. As an established expert in emerging technologies, advanced digital communications, and systemic innovation within financial ecosystems, his expertise is expected to shed light on the structural transformations currently affecting traditional markets. His technical and educational background makes him uniquely qualified to address the convergence of cryptographic technology, asset tokenization, and regulatory compliance.

According to the official announcement details, which are also displayed on the event promotional poster in the file named image_99eb9f.jpg, the session is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2026. The presentation will commence promptly at 10:30 AM and will be held physically at the National Incubation Center Lahore Auditorium, often abbreviated as the NICL Auditorium, which is located in Islamabad. Holding this seminar in the federal capital emphasizes the strategic intent of the regulatory body to engage directly with policy makers, technological innovators, academic professionals, and corporate leaders who are driving the digital transformation agenda across the country.

Recognizing the widespread institutional interest in virtual assets and decentralized ledger technology, the organizers have made the event open to a broader professional audience. Interested individuals belonging to external corporate organizations, technology companies, academic departments, or independent business ventures are welcome to participate in the seminar. However, because seating capacity at the facility is limited, the regulatory body has mandated a strict prior registration process to manage attendance and ensure smooth coordination.

Prospective attendees who wish to secure a seat at the upcoming session must submit their formal registration details directly through electronic mail. Applicants must send their full name, their official organization or business affiliation, and their direct contact email address to the designated coordinator, Mateen Abbasi, at the official regulatory email address mateen.abbasi@secp.gov.pk. By creating this bridge between academic research, regulatory bodies, and public stakeholders, the institution hopes to cultivate a balanced approach toward the integration and management of blockchain technology and tokenization frameworks within the local financial sectors.
