National Foods Limited, a major Pakistani food company, has joined forces with Agrilift, an agricultural technology company, in a new partnership. This collaboration aims to empower local farmers, boost crop yields, and lessen the need for imported raw materials.
National Foods CEO, Abrar Hasan, stressed the company’s dedication to local sourcing and self-sufficiency. “This partnership aligns perfectly with Agrilift’s mission to modernize farming practices in Pakistan,” he said. “Technology has the potential to significantly impact our agricultural landscape, and this collaboration is a step forward in that direction.”
Jawwad Hasan, CEO & Co-Founder of Agrilift, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are honored to be National Foods’ official Agri-tech partner,” he said. “Improving crop yields is crucial for Pakistan’s agricultural sector, the backbone of our economy. Our technology provides farmers with the tools they need to increase yields and improve their livelihoods.”
The collaboration will initially focus on the tomato and chilli value chain. Agrilift’s technology will offer National Foods’ network of chilli and tomato farmers valuable insights and solutions to enhance yields and productivity. This focus on local sourcing is expected to empower farmers and reduce the company’s dependence on imported raw materials, promoting a more sustainable supply chain.
