Jubilee General Insurance and SCCI Partner to Provide Affordable Insurance Solutions for SMEs

Jubilee General Insurance Company Ltd has officially entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enhance access to affordable insurance coverage for small and medium enterprises across the region. The agreement reinforces a mutual commitment to support local businesses, reduce financial vulnerability, and foster greater economic stability within the private sector. By targeting the SME segment and local shopkeepers, the partnership seeks to address the long-standing insurance protection gap that leaves many commercial entities exposed to unexpected operational disruptions and financial losses.

The formal MoU ceremony was attended by key leadership from both organizations, including Azfar Arshad, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jubilee General Insurance, and Muhammad Nadeem, Senior Vice President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present at the event were Junaid Altaf, President of SCCI, and Muqtasid Ahsan, General Secretary of SCCI, alongside members of the executive committee, corporate delegates, and representative members of the regional business community. The gathering highlighted the shared intent of both institutions to build structured risk management mechanisms for smaller enterprise owners.

Central to this alliance is the promotion of Dukan Hifazat, a tailored insurance policy created specifically to safeguard business properties and commercial inventory against unforeseen perils. The solution features simplified enrollment procedures, minimal paperwork demands, low-cost premium structures, and an expedited claims settlement process designed to reduce operational downtime for policyholders. By lowering barrier-to-entry costs and streamlining policy administration, the initiative aims to encourage widespread adoption of financial protection tools among small business operators who historically lack commercial risk coverage.

Expanding insurance access serves as a vital component in strengthening enterprise resilience and sustaining broader national economic growth. As market volatilities and environmental risks present ongoing challenges to retail and commercial sectors, structured insurance frameworks assist entrepreneurs in securing their investments and sustaining business continuity. The strategic alliance between Jubilee General Insurance and the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry marks a crucial step toward advancing financial inclusion, mitigating business vulnerabilities, and reinforcing the overarching economic framework of Pakistan.
