Ericsson and Telenor MicroFinance Bank Complete Tech Stack Upgrade for Easypaisa

Ericsson and Telenor Microfinance Bank (TMB) have successfully completed a major upgrade to the Ericsson Mobile Financial Services platform at TMB. This upgrade marks a significant milestone in TMB’s journey to providing innovative and secure digital financial services to its customers.

The upgraded platform is now built on a state-of-the-art cloud-native solution with an open architecture and a wide range of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This enables easypaisa, TMB’s digital financial services platform, to offer faster, more personalized, and user-friendly services to its customers.

This upgrade positions easypaisa to scale its operations, introduce new revenue streams, and drive fintech innovations. It aligns with TMB’s ongoing Digital Retail Bank transformation and supports its mission to promote financial inclusion and economic empowerment in Pakistan.

Mohammad Hasan Ayaz, Chief Technology Officer at TMB/easypaisa, highlighted the importance of this upgrade in enabling easypaisa to provide secure and reliable financial services across Pakistan. He emphasized the platform’s ability to scale all lines of business in the coming years and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Pakistan’s digital banking landscape.

Michael Wallis-Brown, Head of Mobile Financial Services at Ericsson, expressed his satisfaction with the successful deployment of the latest cloud-native Mobile Financial Services platform. He emphasized the platform’s role in supporting easypaisa’s growth and providing a seamless and efficient mobile financial experience in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
