FBR Expands Digital Invoicing Awareness with Seminar in Quetta

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), in collaboration with Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL), recently conducted a Digital Invoicing Awareness Seminar in Quetta, underscoring its commitment to fostering a nationwide digital tax ecosystem. The seminar aimed to educate local businesses about the integration of digital invoicing systems, addressing concerns related to software compatibility, connectivity, automation, and the overall ease of filing.

Quetta, recognized as a pivotal trade and logistics hub, plays a significant role in the adoption of digital invoicing. The seminar provided an opportunity for direct engagement with local businesses, facilitating discussions on region-specific challenges and practical solutions for seamless integration with FBR’s real-time invoicing system.

PRAL’s Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO) and his team led the session, emphasizing PRAL’s dedication to delivering customized, scalable solutions tailored to the needs of regional business communities. Their presence highlighted the organization’s commitment to supporting businesses in transitioning to digital invoicing systems.

The seminar also served as a platform to reinforce the importance of compliance with FBR’s digital invoicing mandates. Businesses were informed about the benefits of digital invoicing, including enhanced transparency, improved record-keeping, and streamlined tax processes. The initiative aligns with FBR’s broader objective to modernize tax collection and improve fiscal oversight through the adoption of digital technologies.

Moreover, the seminar highlighted the availability of free integration services provided by PRAL. As per FBR’s notification, PRAL will act as a licensed integrator, offering free-of-cost integration services to registered persons, including retailers, for integration with FBR’s computerized system. This move is expected to alleviate the financial burden on businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises, facilitating their compliance with digital invoicing requirements.

The strong participation and constructive feedback from Quetta’s business stakeholders were instrumental in shaping future enhancements to the digital invoicing system. Their input will contribute to ensuring broader, more inclusive digital compliance across the region.

This initiative is part of FBR’s ongoing efforts to promote the adoption of digital invoicing nationwide. By conducting awareness seminars and providing support services, FBR aims to facilitate a smooth transition for businesses, enhancing the overall efficiency and transparency of the tax system in Pakistan.
