1LINK hosted an Industry Engagement Webinar on 1IBFT, bringing together more than 100 participants from commercial banks, Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Islamic banks and affiliated organisations. The session, titled “Connecting, Evolving, Shaping the Future,” focused on the role of 1IBFT within Pakistan’s digital payments ecosystem and its ongoing evolution.
The webinar featured 1LINK CEO Najeeb Agrawalla, along with senior representatives including Ali Muhammad Khan, Chief Digital & Technology Solutions at 1LINK, Mr. Muhammad Bashir Khan, Chief Merchants, Schemes & Alliances, and other team members. Discussions centred on the strategic direction of 1IBFT, particularly its role in value-added features and high-value transactions.
Participants also discussed the evolution of 1IBFT from a conventional payment mechanism toward a commercially sustainable model. The session provided an opportunity for industry stakeholders to exchange views on the changing requirements of Pakistan’s financial and digital payments ecosystem.
According to the information shared during the webinar, 1IBFT has a processing capacity of 10,000 transactions per second, alongside low dispute and fraud rates. The platform is expected to operate alongside Raast, contributing to greater resilience and reliability across Pakistan’s digital payments ecosystem.
The engagement reflects 1LINK’s continued interaction with banks, EMIs and other industry stakeholders on the development of digital payment infrastructure. The webinar also highlighted the importance of improving payment capabilities while adapting 1IBFT to emerging requirements across the financial sector.
