TPL Insurance Limited has proposed changing its name to JazzSure Insurance Limited, subject to approval from shareholders and the relevant authorities. The company’s Board of Directors approved the proposal at a meeting held on August 27, according to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, marking a formal step toward completing the company’s rebrand under its new ownership structure.
The proposed change will also include amendments to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, along with a change in its trading symbol on the Pakistan Stock Exchange from TPLI to JazzSure Insurance or another name approved by the exchange. These changes remain subject to applicable corporate and regulatory requirements and completion of the required legal formalities before taking effect.
The company has called an Extraordinary General Meeting for October 2, 2026, at 11 in the morning to seek shareholder approval for the proposed name change and related amendments to its constitutional documents. Shareholder sign off at this meeting represents the next formal step in the rebranding process following the board’s initial approval.
The proposed name change comes after Jazz International Holding Limited, a subsidiary of VEON, completed the acquisition of a controlling 76.33 percent stake in TPL Insurance in July 2026. The transaction was completed for approximately 4.55 billion rupees and brought TPL Insurance into JazzWorld’s digital financial services ecosystem alongside JazzCash and Mobilink Bank, positioning the rebrand as part of a broader integration of the insurance company into Jazz’s expanding suite of financial services offerings in Pakistan.
