Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting the development of Pakistan’s export sector. The agreement brings together BNU’s academic expertise in areas including fashion, design, digital innovation and entrepreneurship with TDAP’s trade networks and market intelligence. The partnership is intended to create opportunities for entrepreneurs, researchers and aspiring interns while contributing to initiatives focused on export development and economic growth.
The MoU was formally signed by Ms. Rafia Syed, Director General Punjab and Co-signee, in the presence of Ms. Hina Gul, Director TDAP, along with Ms. Urva Hassan Zubairi and Ms. Faiqa Zarnab, both Deputy Directors at TDAP. The participation of senior representatives from TDAP highlights the authority’s involvement in the collaboration and its focus on developing connections between academic institutions and the country’s trade ecosystem. Through the agreement, BNU and TDAP will work together around areas where education, innovation and trade development can intersect.
The partnership is expected to provide a platform for BNU’s students, researchers and entrepreneurs to engage with opportunities connected to Pakistan’s export sector. BNU brings expertise across fashion, design, digital innovation and entrepreneurship, areas that can contribute to the development of export-oriented products, creative industries and new business models. TDAP, meanwhile, provides access to trade networks and market intelligence that can help connect local businesses and emerging talent with broader market opportunities. Combining these capabilities could support greater interaction between academic learning, entrepreneurship and commercial activity.
The collaboration also focuses on developing skilled professionals who can contribute to Pakistan’s participation in international markets. By connecting university-based expertise with trade-related networks and market knowledge, the partnership can provide students and aspiring professionals with exposure to practical aspects of export development and international commerce. Researchers and entrepreneurs may also benefit from opportunities to explore ideas and products with potential relevance to external markets, particularly in sectors linked to design, fashion, digital innovation and creative entrepreneurship.
The BNU-TDAP partnership represents a collaboration between the education and trade development sectors, with both institutions bringing different areas of expertise to the agreement. The MoU is intended to support export growth while contributing to broader economic development through entrepreneurship, research, innovation and professional skills. By connecting BNU’s academic and creative capabilities with TDAP’s trade infrastructure and market intelligence, the partnership establishes a framework for greater cooperation around Pakistan’s export ambitions and the development of professionals and entrepreneurs able to participate in global markets.
