The Bank of Khyber (BoK) has joined forces with Euronet Pakistan to enhance digital payments and switch management services. This collaboration encompasses a comprehensive implementation and portfolio migration of all debit cards and ATMs from the legacy platform, integrating them into Euronet’s system.
The entire solution will be hosted on a PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure in Euronet’s data center facilities in Pakistan, ensuring adherence to global data security and customer data protection standards. Emphasizing compliance with local regulatory requirements, all customer and transactional data will be kept within Pakistan.
The partnership includes service level guarantees and safeguards against technology obsolescence, encompassing hardware upgrades and business continuity measures to ensure optimal operational performance for the bank.
The official agreement was sealed by Irfan Saleem Awan, Acting MD/CEO of BoK, and Kashif Gaya, CEO of Euronet Pakistan. Senior executives from both institutions, including key figures like Shaikh Mashood ur Rehman, Chief Information Officer, and Asim Bashir, Group Head Digital Banking, were present at the signing ceremony, solidifying the commitment to advancing digital banking services.
