Raqami Islamic Digital Bank Builds Digital Banking Platform With Codebase Technologies For Younger Customers In Region

Raqami Islamic Digital Bank has partnered with Codebase Technologies to develop a fully digital banking platform designed to provide customers with a modern, Shariah-compliant banking experience. According to Codebase Technologies, the journey toward Raqami’s commercial launch involved building the infrastructure and digital capabilities required to support a banking model focused on mobile-first users. The collaboration has centered on creating a banking environment where customers can access everyday financial services through digital channels without relying on traditional branch-based processes.

The digital bank has been developed using Codebase Technologies’ Digibanc platform, which provides the technology foundation for Raqami’s digital banking operations. The platform supports a Shariah-compliant onboarding process alongside a range of financial services, including payments, transfers, savings and insurance. The implementation is designed to bring these services together within a single digital banking experience, allowing customers to complete common banking activities through their mobile devices. Codebase Technologies said the platform was developed with an emphasis on simplifying customer journeys and making frequently used banking functions easier to access.

The collaboration also reflects the growing role of digital infrastructure in the development of Islamic banking services. Raqami’s platform has been designed around a digital-first model, with the interface structured to present relevant banking functions directly to customers and reduce the steps involved in completing everyday transactions. Codebase Technologies said the development required close coordination between its team and Raqami Islamic Digital Bank to establish the infrastructure and technology needed for a fully digital banking operation. The approach is particularly focused on younger and digitally accustomed customers who increasingly use mobile platforms for financial activities.

Codebase Technologies has also released a case study detailing the development of Raqami’s digital banking platform and the implementation of its Digibanc technology. The project demonstrates how digital banking platforms can combine onboarding, payments, transfers, savings and insurance within a unified environment. As Raqami moves forward with its commercial banking operations, the technology infrastructure developed through the partnership will serve as the foundation for delivering its digital financial services.
