Jubilee Life Insurance has partnered with Unikrew Solutions to enable a Multi-Biometric Verification System (MBVS)-compliant digital insurance onboarding solution, introducing biometric-based identity verification into the customer onboarding process. The collaboration brings together Jubilee Life’s focus on digital insurance and customer experience with Unikrew Solutions’ expertise in digital identity and biometric technologies. The initiative is designed to support remote identity verification while reducing reliance on conventional manual verification procedures. According to the companies, the solution is aligned with NADRA’s MBVS compliance standards and is intended to make digital insurance onboarding more secure and accessible for customers. The development comes as financial services providers in Pakistan increasingly adopt digital identity technologies to support remote customer journeys and meet identity verification requirements.
Under the partnership, the digital onboarding solution will incorporate camera-based fingerprint acquisition and facial biometric verification for remote identity checks. These capabilities are intended to allow customers to complete key parts of the insurance onboarding process digitally, while providing additional mechanisms for confirming identity. The use of biometric verification can also reduce the need for customers to depend on physical visits or manual identity checks during onboarding. For Jubilee Life, the collaboration forms part of its broader digital transformation efforts, with the company seeking to improve customer accessibility, operational efficiency and service delivery through technology. Jubilee Life’s existing digital services already include online policy management and online insurance-related services, while its recent corporate reporting has identified further digitalisation of customer engagement as an area of focus.
Javed Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, said the collaboration would support the company’s efforts to improve the digital onboarding journey through secure and compliant biometric verification. He noted that technology is changing how customers access financial services, including insurance, and said the partnership with Unikrew would make the onboarding process more seamless and accessible. Muhammad Naveed Sharif, CEO of Unikrew Solutions, also welcomed the collaboration, describing the initiative as a move toward secure customer onboarding, digital trust and regulatory compliance in Pakistan’s insurance sector. Unikrew provides digital identity, digital onboarding and related financial technology solutions, including in-app fingerprint acquisition, facial matching and video KYC capabilities.
The partnership highlights the growing role of digital identity infrastructure in Pakistan’s insurance and wider financial services sectors. Biometric verification can help insurers conduct identity checks remotely while supporting compliance requirements and reducing dependence on paper-based or in-person processes. For customers, digital onboarding can make it easier to access insurance services without completing every stage of registration through traditional channels. Jubilee Life has previously outlined digital transformation as an important part of its strategy, including efforts to increase digital-originated premiums and improve digital customer engagement. The new collaboration with Unikrew adds biometric verification to these efforts and provides the insurer with technology for more digitally enabled customer onboarding. As insurance providers continue to expand online services, partnerships involving digital identity and biometric technologies are expected to remain relevant to the development of remote insurance journeys in Pakistan.
