PRAL to Provide Free Digital Invoicing Integration Services to Taxpayers Ahead of FBR Mandate

LAHORE: As Pakistan’s financial sector continues to embrace digital transformation, Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) has reaffirmed its commitment to providing free digital invoicing system integration services to all taxpayers. The announcement was made by Abid Naeem, General Manager at PRAL, during an awareness session with members of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA).

This initiative comes in preparation for the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) mandatory digital invoicing integration deadlines—June 1, 2025, for corporate taxpayers and July 1, 2025, for non-corporate taxpayers. In line with Rule 150Q of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006, all taxpayers are required to electronically integrate their systems used for generating and transmitting e-invoices with FBR through licensed integrators.

PRAL, officially notified under Rule 150XF as a licensed integrator, will offer full integration services at no cost. These services include assistance with software configuration, ERP compatibility, regulatory compliance, and post-integration support—aiming to ease the transition process for taxpayers while ensuring full compliance with FBR mandates.

During the session, Asad Shafi, Chairman of APTMA North, welcomed PRAL’s outreach efforts and commended the organization for conducting these crucial awareness seminars. “The digital invoicing mandate under Rule 150Q is a significant development for Pakistan’s taxation landscape. PRAL’s initiative to conduct training sessions across the country is a proactive step that will play a vital role in educating and guiding businesses,” said Shafi.

He added that such sessions are essential for demystifying the technical aspects of integration and providing clarity around legal requirements. “We hope that these seminars will help businesses understand how digital invoicing can transform financial operations, enhance transparency, and bring greater efficiency to the tax ecosystem.”

Abid Naeem highlighted the importance of embracing innovation in compliance processes. “PRAL, as a government-designated licensed integrator, is offering end-to-end integration support at no cost. This includes structured implementation, real-time guidance, and ongoing assistance to help businesses remain compliant and avoid penalties,” he explained.

He stressed that direct integration with PRAL’s systems relieves businesses from technical complexities and enables them to manage regulatory compliance independently. “With SRO 69(I)/2025 now in effect, businesses must adapt to remain compliant. We are here to simplify this shift and help organizations modernize their tax processes.”

Naeem further emphasized PRAL’s longstanding commitment to digital innovation in Pakistan. “We’re enabling businesses to smoothly integrate e-invoicing into their existing ERP systems and workflows, reducing manual tasks and improving accuracy. Our platform supports real-time analytics, increased visibility, and automation—all essential for modern financial management.”

He also addressed concerns related to common misconceptions and challenges. “Through these awareness sessions, we aim to educate taxpayers about the tangible benefits of digital invoicing, from operational efficiency to improved regulatory adherence,” he said.

As Pakistan moves toward a fully digitized taxation environment, PRAL’s efforts align with the government’s broader vision of financial inclusion, tax transparency, and digital governance. By providing free, compliant, and secure e-invoicing integration, PRAL is playing a pivotal role in reshaping Pakistan’s fiscal infrastructure while supporting businesses of all sizes on their digital journey.
