NIBAF Pakistan has conducted a specialised training programme titled “AML 360°: Anti-Money Laundering & Risk Mitigation” at its Karachi campus, bringing together professionals from the banking and financial sector. The programme was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of money laundering risks, compliance requirements and measures that can help institutions manage financial crime exposure.
The training was attended by officers from commercial banks, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). The session was facilitated by Mazahir Barristor, who led participants through key areas related to anti-money laundering practices and institutional risk management.
The programme focused on developing participants’ understanding of money laundering risks and the compliance frameworks used to address them. It also covered key mitigating factors aimed at reducing institutional fraud and limiting exposure to financial and operational risks.
NIBAF Pakistan said the initiative forms part of its wider capacity-building efforts for professionals working within the financial ecosystem. Specialised training in areas such as AML compliance and financial crime prevention can help banking institutions improve their internal risk management practices and strengthen compliance frameworks.
The training reflects the continued focus on developing professional capabilities within Pakistan’s financial sector, particularly around financial crime and regulatory compliance. Through targeted programmes such as AML 360°, NIBAF Pakistan is providing banking professionals with specialised learning opportunities focused on risk mitigation and maintaining a resilient financial ecosystem.
