FBR Gears Up for Traders Dost Scheme Tax Collection from July 1st

FBR is gearing up to collect taxes from traders registered under the Traders Dost Scheme starting July 1st. The nationwide registration process is still ongoing, with 39,134 traders signed up so far.

These registrations are concentrated in Pakistan’s major cities: Lahore leads with 15,057, followed by Karachi (6,562), Rawalpindi (5,479), Peshawar (3,452), and Islamabad (3,400). Quetta has also seen participation with 2,172 retailers.

Encouragingly, 3,120 traders from smaller towns across Pakistan have registered for the scheme as well. The Traders Dost Scheme aims to integrate small and medium-sized businesses into the tax system while offering simplified procedures and potential benefits.
