BMO Equipment Finance has selected NETSOL Technologies’ Transcend Finance platform to manage its equipment finance portfolio in the United States, marking a transition from NETSOL’s legacy LeasePak platform to its newer technology platform. The agreement will enable BMO to manage equipment financing assets through Transcend Finance, an AI-powered platform designed for lenders, captives and commercial finance companies. NETSOL announced the agreement on September 15, 2026, describing the move as part of BMO’s continued adoption of technology aimed at improving operational efficiency, customer experience and digital capabilities across its equipment finance operations.
Transcend Finance is designed as a unified platform covering key stages of the finance lifecycle, including originations, servicing and wholesale finance. According to NETSOL, the platform is built to provide scalability and flexibility for financial institutions managing asset finance portfolios, while supporting the launch of new business models and the management of finance operations through a centralized system. NETSOL’s broader Transcend platform uses AI and machine learning capabilities to support asset sales, financing and leasing processes, with the company positioning the technology as an integrated digital ecosystem for financial institutions and other asset finance businesses.
The BMO agreement represents an upgrade from the company’s existing LeasePak platform to Transcend Finance. NETSOL said the transition is expected to support BMO’s equipment finance operations through capabilities focused on efficiency, risk management and customer engagement. The company also highlighted its long-standing relationship with BMO, noting that NETSOL has supported the financial group for more than three decades. Najeeb Ghauri, Founder and CEO of NETSOL Technologies, said the transition demonstrates the continued development of the partnership and will provide BMO with a modern platform designed to adapt to changing requirements in the asset finance market. For BMO Equipment Finance, the platform will be used specifically across its equipment finance portfolio in the United States. BMO Financial Group operates banking, wealth management, global markets and investment banking businesses across Canada, the United States and selected international markets. As of July 31, 2026, BMO reported total assets of $1.5 trillion. Its equipment finance business provides financing and leasing solutions for businesses investing in equipment and offers online access to financing records through its digital services.
The agreement adds to NETSOL’s portfolio of deployments involving asset finance and leasing businesses across international markets. The company provides technology covering equipment, automotive, fleet and other forms of asset finance, with its software supporting processes from contract origination through servicing and termination. NETSOL says its asset finance technology is deployed across more than 30 countries and is designed to support multiple jurisdictions, currencies and regulatory environments. The adoption of Transcend Finance by BMO reflects the continued use of specialized financial technology platforms by financial institutions to digitize and centralize asset finance operations. For NETSOL, the agreement expands the use of its newer platform within an established customer relationship, while for BMO, it represents a move from a legacy NETSOL system to a platform incorporating newer digital and AI-enabled capabilities. The companies did not disclose the financial terms or implementation timeline of the agreement.
