BankIslami Introduces USD Debit Cards for IT Freelancers: Streamlined Payments

BankIslami Pakistan Limited has revolutionized Pakistan’s Information Technology sector with the introduction of exclusive USD debit cards tailored for IT companies and freelancers. This move, in line with the State Bank of Pakistan’s vision, underscores BankIslami’s dedication to supporting the service sector.

The unveiling of the Industry Exclusive FCY (Foreign Currency) Debit Mastercard marks a significant milestone. This specialized card addresses the unique requirements of IT exporters and freelancers, providing a seamless payment solution for both local Pakistani Rupee (PKR) and international transactions in foreign currency, including ATM ensures same-day remittance credit, competitive conversion rates, and attractive profit rates, positioning itself as a preferred financial partner for the IT & Exporters Freelancers community.

Mr. Umar Saif, Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, lauded BankIslami’s pivotal role in empowering the IT sector. With extensive experience in technology, research, entrepreneurship, and public policy, Mr. Saif has been instrumental in driving this transformative project forward.

BankIslami has forged strategic partnerships with key industry players and organizations such as Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, among others, to promote awareness and foster adoption of formal banking channels within the IT sector through various initiatives and events nationwide.
