Webx Ecommerce Signs MoU With Bangladesh DigiBox To Expand Cross-Border E-Commerce And Logistics Services

Pakistan-based Webx Ecommerce has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh’s DigiBox Limited to explore cross-border e-commerce opportunities and connect merchants across the two markets. The collaboration is intended to provide Pakistani merchants with access to DigiBox’s last-mile delivery infrastructure, cash-on-delivery (COD) solutions and logistics network, while supporting the expansion of Webx Ecommerce’s technology ecosystem into Bangladesh. The announcement was shared by Webx Ecommerce, which described the agreement as a step towards improving commercial connections between Pakistan and Bangladesh through digital commerce services. The MoU was signed by Rezwanul Haque Jami, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DigiBox, and Waqas Ahmed Dar, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Webx Ecommerce. Webx Chief Executive Officer Syed Waleed Masood and Muhammad Qasim Saya were also present. The partnership brings together a Pakistani e-commerce technology platform and a Bangladeshi logistics and delivery partner, with the stated objective of creating additional opportunities for merchants seeking to reach customers across the two countries. The announcement did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement or a specific date for the start of operations.

Under the proposed collaboration, DigiBox’s delivery infrastructure and logistics network are expected to provide support for Pakistani merchants pursuing cross-border e-commerce opportunities in Bangladesh. Last-mile delivery is an important part of online retail operations because it connects orders placed through digital storefronts with customers receiving products at their destinations. For merchants entering a new market, access to local delivery partners can help address operational requirements such as shipment handling, order fulfilment and customer delivery coordination. Cash-on-delivery services also remain relevant in markets where customers prefer to pay when receiving their purchases rather than completing transactions through online payment methods. By providing access to DigiBox’s COD solutions, the partnership aims to address one of the operational requirements associated with serving customers in Bangladesh. However, the announcement does not specify the delivery coverage, settlement arrangements, COD remittance timelines, service charges or categories of goods that will be supported through the arrangement. These details will be important in determining how the collaboration will work for merchants and what processes they will need to follow when fulfilling orders across borders.

For Webx Ecommerce, the agreement represents an opportunity to extend its technology ecosystem beyond Pakistan and explore services for merchants operating in another South Asian market. The company provides an e-commerce platform that enables businesses to establish online stores, manage products and operations, and connect with payment and courier services. Its existing platform includes integrations with Pakistani payment providers and logistics companies, allowing merchants to manage important parts of their online selling operations through a single system. The collaboration with DigiBox could add a local logistics connection for businesses seeking to serve customers in Bangladesh, although the companies have not disclosed how the integration will be implemented or whether merchants will access these services directly through the Webx platform. For DigiBox, the agreement creates an opportunity to work with a Pakistani e-commerce technology provider and participate in cross-border merchant activity. The companies have presented the arrangement as a way to connect businesses and support entrepreneurs, but specific merchant onboarding targets, operational commitments and commercial milestones have not been announced.

The collaboration comes as businesses increasingly look at regional opportunities to expand online sales and build delivery networks that can support customers beyond their domestic markets. Cross-border e-commerce involves more than making products available to international buyers, as merchants must also address shipping, customs procedures, payment collection, returns, delivery timelines and local customer expectations. Partnerships with local service providers can help address some of these requirements, particularly where merchants do not have their own operational presence in the destination market. For Pakistani businesses, access to a Bangladesh-based logistics network could provide a starting point for exploring a neighbouring market, subject to the commercial and regulatory arrangements governing individual shipments. The MoU between Webx Ecommerce and DigiBox establishes a basis for cooperation, but the announcement does not confirm a fully operational cross-border service, a public launch date, specific product categories, customs arrangements or the number of merchants expected to participate. Further details from both companies will be needed to assess the scale and practical scope of the initiative. The agreement nevertheless introduces a new business connection between Pakistan’s e-commerce technology sector and Bangladesh’s logistics network, with the potential to support merchant access and digital commerce activity across both markets.
