Faysal Bank Organises Islamic Banking Awareness and Account Opening Sessions Across Punjab

Faysal Bank Limited has announced financial awareness and account opening sessions across its branches in Faisalabad and several other districts of Punjab on October 19 and 20, 2026. The initiative is being conducted as part of National Financial Literacy activities and aims to help members of the public understand Shariah-compliant banking and learn about the process of opening bank accounts. The sessions will begin at 3:00 PM onwards, with the bank advising interested participants to contact their nearest branch to confirm the specific date and timing. The initiative is intended to improve public awareness of Islamic banking services and make information about available financial options more accessible.

According to the announcement, the sessions will cover Faisalabad and surrounding areas, including Chiniot, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Mandi Bahauddin, Chakwal, Mianwali, and Nankana Sahib districts. Members of the general public can attend to learn more about Islamic banking principles and the account opening process. Shariah-compliant banking products are structured around Islamic financial principles, which prohibit interest-based transactions and use alternative arrangements for financing and investment. By offering awareness sessions at branch locations, Faysal Bank aims to provide direct access to information for people who may be considering opening an account or seeking a better understanding of Islamic financial services.

Financial literacy initiatives can help individuals make informed decisions about saving, managing money, selecting suitable banking products, and understanding their rights as customers. The account opening sessions also provide an opportunity for prospective customers to ask questions about the documentation and requirements involved in establishing a banking relationship. However, the bank’s announcement does not specify which account types will be available at the sessions or whether accounts can be opened immediately in every participating branch. Interested individuals are therefore advised to confirm the details with their nearest Faysal Bank branch before attending.

The announcement also draws attention to the State Bank of Pakistan’s Sunwai portal, available at https://sunwai.sbp.org.pk, and its associated mobile application. The platform is designed to help members of the public lodge complaints related to banking services. Faysal Bank has also shared a tutorial explaining the complaint registration process, providing customers with an additional resource for understanding how to raise concerns through the available channels. By combining financial awareness activities with information about complaint handling, the initiative highlights both access to banking services and awareness of customer support mechanisms. The sessions form part of Faysal Bank’s efforts to promote Islamic banking awareness and encourage greater public engagement with formal financial services.
