Simpaisa Signs MoU With Awamer Jazeera IT To Enable Digital Collections

Simpaisa has signed a memorandum of understanding with Awamer Jazeera IT Company, under which the payments platform will enable digital collections for the IT firm as part of an effort to simplify how payments are received and processed. The agreement positions Simpaisa as the collections partner for Awamer Jazeera, handling the payment flows that sit behind the company’s transactions and giving it access to an established digital collections setup rather than building or managing that layer independently.

Under the arrangement, Simpaisa will provide the payment infrastructure that allows Awamer Jazeera to collect payments digitally, an area that typically involves aggregating multiple payment methods, automating reconciliation, and reducing the manual work involved in tracking incoming transactions. Digital collections have become an increasingly common requirement for businesses that handle recurring or high-volume payments, as manual processes tend to create delays and reconciliation issues that scale poorly as transaction volumes grow. By handing that function to a specialist provider, companies are generally able to shorten settlement cycles and get clearer visibility over payment status across their customer base.

Simpaisa described the partnership as another step toward building more connected payment infrastructure across the region, framing the collaboration as part of its broader push to expand the range of businesses using its collections platform. The company has been building out partnerships with businesses across different sectors as part of that strategy, positioning itself as a payments layer for organizations that need structured digital collection capabilities without developing them in-house. Representatives associated with the announcement included Mustufa Umar, Saqlain Raza, and Owais Khalid, who were named in connection with the partnership.

No specific details were shared on the scope of the collections arrangement, including expected transaction volumes, the timeline for implementation, or which payment methods will be supported through the integration between the two companies. Both sides indicated they intend to build on the partnership going forward, with Simpaisa suggesting further developments could follow as the collaboration progresses, though no additional announcements or expansion plans were confirmed at the time of the signing.
