Finqalab has introduced FinQueue, a new feature designed to provide uninterrupted execution of limit orders during Friday trading sessions. The feature is aimed at investors who place limit orders before the midday market pause and want those orders to remain active when trading resumes. Instead of requiring investors to manually submit their orders again after the break, FinQueue keeps eligible orders queued and ready for execution once the market reopens, providing a more automated approach to managing Friday investment activity.
With FinQueue, investors can set their limit orders as they normally would and activate the feature before submitting the order. The system is designed to carry the orders into the second trading session following the Friday market pause. When trading resumes at 2:30 PM, a queued order is sent to the exchange engine and can be executed if the investor’s specified target price is met. This allows investors to maintain their chosen price parameters without having to monitor the market break or manually resubmit their orders.
The feature is particularly focused on improving the continuity of limit-order execution during Friday trading. Limit orders allow investors to specify the price at which they are willing to buy or sell a security, with execution dependent on the market reaching the defined price. Under the FinQueue process, investors can establish their parameters in advance, activate the feature and allow the system to manage the order through the midday trading interruption. This can reduce the need for repeated manual actions and provide investors with a more streamlined way to manage their trading instructions.
FinQueue is also designed to provide coverage through the remainder of the Friday trading session. Once the market reopens at 2:30 PM, queued orders remain active and can continue working toward the investor’s target price until the market closes at 4:30 PM. If the specified price is reached during the available trading window, the order can be executed through the exchange engine. The feature therefore extends the functionality of a Friday limit order across both sessions while keeping the investor’s original parameters in place.
To use FinQueue, Finqalab users need to update their application to the latest version, set their limit orders as usual and switch the FinQueue toggle on before submitting the order. The introduction of the feature reflects the growing use of technology to automate investment and trading processes, particularly as digital investment platforms seek to make order management more convenient for users. By maintaining queued limit orders across the Friday market pause and automatically sending them for execution when trading resumes, FinQueue adds another digital trading tool to Finqalab’s platform for investors managing their market orders.
