KARACHI:The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), through its National Financial Literacy Programme for Youth (NFLP-Y), has joined hands with Rozee.pk to impart free of cost financial education to Pakistan’s youth through an engaging and interactive game called ‘PomPak – Learn to Earn’.

According to a statement released Saturday, SBP detailed that PomPak delivered its lessons in English and Urdu through a story-based game format designed to help understand and apply principles of financial literacy. The aim of the initiative is to help equip the youth with financial education.

“In just a couple of hours, users can master the essentials of saving, budgeting, borrowing, and banking among many other topics,” the statement said. “The game can be played on any android or IOS based smartphone.”

At a time when remote learning has increased significantly, the youth of Pakistan may take advantage of the free time and gain the much needed financial literacy through this game, which will help them understand financial matters, the statement added.

Upon completion, the participants will be awarded a certificate of financial literacy. This will be jointly issued by National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), a subsidiary of the SBP and National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y).

National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y) aims to impart essential financial education to Pakistani youth and children that go to school for strengthening their money management skills and understanding of financial matters.
