NayaPay Launches Global QR Payments with Alipay+ for Seamless International Transactions

NayaPay, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing fintech platforms, has announced the launch of global QR payments in partnership with Alipay+, the international wallet gateway operated by Ant International. The collaboration enables NayaPay users to scan and pay at Alipay+ merchants in over 50 countries, connecting Pakistani consumers to a wide-ranging global ecosystem that includes retail, dining, transport, healthcare, entertainment, and other services.

The new functionality is designed to make paying abroad faster, more secure, and cost-efficient. With this integration, NayaPay users can complete transactions at international merchants with minimal friction, enjoying a seamless checkout experience. Alipay+ itself connects 40 mobile payment partners worldwide to more than 150 million merchants, providing a robust framework for global acceptance and interoperability.

Danish A. Lakhani, CEO of NayaPay, emphasized the importance of expanding global payment options for Pakistani consumers. He stated that the company’s vision has always been to provide the same freedom and confidence in financial transactions that people enjoy in advanced markets. This partnership allows Pakistanis to access a universally compatible payment experience, whether for study, work, or travel abroad, while also offering cost savings and ease of use.

Pan Yan, Head of Strategic Partnership Office for Alipay+, highlighted that the collaboration aims to deliver a seamless digital payment experience across borders. According to Yan, the growth of mobile payment platforms like NayaPay is transforming how users interact with merchants worldwide, and this global QR integration ensures that Pakistani consumers can explore international markets with the same convenience and trust they experience at home.

The announcement builds on the partnership between NayaPay and Alipay+, which began in early 2024 when NayaPay became Pakistan’s first fintech to enable direct QR payments at over 80 million merchants in China. This expanded integration now extends that capability to international markets, providing greater acceptance, convenience, and cost-efficiency for Pakistani users when traveling or shopping abroad.

By adding global QR payments to its suite of services, NayaPay reinforces its commitment to delivering world-class financial solutions. The platform already offers a range of services, including Visa debit cards, local and international money transfers, bill payments, home remittances, and more. This latest integration demonstrates NayaPay’s focus on leveraging innovative fintech solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers while enhancing Pakistan’s digital payment infrastructure.

With the launch of global QR payments, NayaPay is poised to set new benchmarks in cross-border digital payments, enabling Pakistani consumers to conduct transactions internationally with ease, security, and efficiency. The collaboration with Alipay+ signifies a major step toward building a globally connected financial ecosystem for Pakistan’s rapidly growing fintech sector.
