UBL has partnered up with NIFT to offer an e-commerce payment solution

UBL Digital recently announced a strategic partnership with NIFT to facilitate digital payments (mobile/e-commerce) through the ‘NIFT ePay’ platform. Customers of UBL Branch and OMNI will be able to perform secure e-commerce transactions directly through their accounts as a result of this relationship.

Customers of UBL will be able to make online purchases from UBL and NIFT equipped e-Commerce merchants, enhancing end-user convenience and broadening the reach of safe and secure online transactions.

In addition, NIFT ePay will be integrated with UBL Digital’s internet payment gateway, allowing other bank clients to pay online at web stores via account direct debit. The payments will be taken immediately from the customer’s account and sent to the merchant in a simple and secure manner.

CEO Haider Wahab, Head of DFS Fawad Abdul Kader, and NIFT’s Head of Business Development Imran Korai were also present at the signing ceremony. UBL was represented by Muhammad Hamayun Sajjad, Head of Digital Payments & Branchless Banking; Amin Rahman, Head of Digital Channels; Arsalan Arif, Head of Digital Payments Acceptance; and Adnan Javaid, Head of Digital Banking.

UBL CEO Muhammad Hamayun Sajjad was ecstatic that collaborations like these allow the bank to offer a wide range of digital payment solutions to its customers.

“We are thrilled to sign up UBL for NIFT ePay services, allowing UBL account holders to make payments and UBL to deliver online collections to its corporate and business relationships using the NIFT ePay Platform,” said Haider Wahab.

UBL has carved out a place in the financial services industry as a leader in payment digitization, and it believes that its relationship with NIFT will open up new business opportunities.
