JazzCash Launches Women Account to Promote Digital and Financial Inclusion in Pakistan

JazzCash has officially launched its Women Account, a specialized financial product aimed at enhancing digital and financial inclusion for women across Pakistan. The initiative is part of the fintech company’s ongoing efforts to provide accessible and tailored financial services, empowering women to actively participate in the country’s digital economy.

To complement the launch, JazzCash will host a dynamic panel discussion on Tuesday, 17th February 2026 at 3:30 p.m., bringing together leaders from the fintech, regulatory, development, and business sectors. The discussion is designed to explore practical strategies to advance women’s access to financial services, leveraging technology, policy frameworks, and strategic partnerships.

The panel will feature Haris Javed, Head of Customer Experience and Customer Operations at JazzCash, who will provide insights into how the Women Account has been designed to meet the specific needs of female users. His contributions are expected to highlight user-centric innovations, operational strategies, and measures to enhance digital accessibility for women.

From the development sector, Zarene Zuberi, Gender and Economic Inclusion Specialist at UN Women Pakistan, will address gender-responsive financial systems and policies that enable equitable participation in economic activities. Samia Salik, Gender Lead for Digital Financial Services at Karandaaz Pakistan, will discuss ecosystem-level interventions that support financial inclusion for underserved segments, particularly women, through mobile banking and fintech innovations.

Salman Shehzad, Senior Joint Director at the State Bank of Pakistan’s Financial Inclusion and Digital Financial Services Group, will provide regulatory insights on expanding women’s participation in formal financial services, emphasizing the role of central bank initiatives and policies in promoting inclusive banking. Zunaira Omar, CEO of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will share perspectives from the entrepreneurial community on challenges and opportunities for women-led businesses in accessing digital financial services.

The discussion will be moderated by Rabia Khattak, Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Jazz, and will focus on how collaborative efforts among fintech providers, regulators, and development organizations can accelerate women’s economic empowerment. The panel aims to identify actionable solutions to reduce barriers, increase adoption of mobile financial services, and foster sustainable engagement with digital banking platforms.

The launch of the Women Account reflects JazzCash’s commitment to designing financial products for specific demographic needs, ensuring that women can benefit from secure, convenient, and technology-driven banking solutions. The account also aligns with broader efforts to create an inclusive digital financial ecosystem where women can manage savings, payments, and investments with ease.

Industry observers note that women in Pakistan remain disproportionately underrepresented in formal financial services despite growing mobile banking adoption. Dedicated products like the JazzCash Women Account, coupled with awareness and education initiatives, are seen as crucial steps toward bridging this gap.

By combining product innovation with multi-stakeholder dialogue, JazzCash is positioning the Women Account not only as a financial offering but also as a platform to drive systemic change. The initiative highlights how fintech, policy, and partnerships can work together to expand access to financial services, ultimately supporting women’s economic participation and contributing to a more inclusive digital future in Pakistan.
