i2c CEO Amir Wain Named Fintech Leader Of The Year By Juniper Research For 2026

Amir Wain, Founder and CEO of i2c Inc., has been named Fintech Leader of the Year by Juniper Research as part of its Future Digital Awards for Fintech & Payments 2026. The Platinum recognition acknowledges Wain’s leadership in developing i2c’s unified banking and payments platform and his contribution to the evolution of financial technology infrastructure. Juniper Research officially announced Wain as the winner in its 2026 awards programme.

Under Wain’s leadership, i2c has developed a unified platform that supports credit, debit and prepaid issuer processing, core banking and money movement through a single architecture. The company says its platform is designed to provide financial institutions and fintechs with configurable technology that can be adapted to different financial products, markets and customer requirements without requiring a complete infrastructure overhaul.

i2c’s platform operates on a private cloud and has supported financial institutions and fintechs across more than 216 countries and territories, with the company reporting 99.999% historical availability over more than 26 years. The platform also incorporates compliance and governance capabilities into its infrastructure, allowing institutions to configure and scale financial products while maintaining operational controls.

Artificial intelligence has also become an important part of i2c’s technology under Wain’s leadership. The company has integrated AI into areas including customer support and fraud risk management, with its fraud detection models trained on billions of transactions. According to i2c, its AI-driven fraud solution can capture up to 40% of fraud volume while maintaining customer friction at around 0.5%.

Juniper Research said the Fintech Leader of the Year category recognizes individuals who drive innovation and growth across the fintech and payments industry. Nick Maynard, VP of Research and lead judge at Juniper Research, highlighted Wain’s focus on unified capabilities and rapid innovation as key factors behind the recognition. The award places Wain among the individuals recognized by Juniper Research for leadership and innovation in the global fintech ecosystem.
