Bank Alfalah and Indus Hospital Partner for Healthcare Facility in Flood-Hit District

Bank Alfalah and Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) have joined forces to establish a Primary Care Health Facility in flood-ravaged Makli, District Thatta. This initiative reflects both organizations’ commitment to social responsibility and community support.

Following a $10 million donation to flood relief efforts by Bank Alfalah Chairman Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan, the bank is taking a two-pronged approach to community redevelopment. This partnership with IHHN represents the second phase, focusing on long-term healthcare needs.

Under the agreement, IHHN will develop the facility and propose necessary equipment, infrastructure, and staffing plans. Bank Alfalah will contribute PKR 25 million towards the project’s capital expenditure, demonstrating its dedication to supporting communities in need.

“We are proud to collaborate with IHHN to provide essential healthcare services to the flood-affected population,” said Atif Bajwa, President and CEO of Bank Alfalah. “This partnership underscores our commitment to humanitarian efforts and supporting communities during challenging times.”

Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, echoed these sentiments: “This collaboration marks a significant step towards addressing the immediate healthcare needs in District Thatta. It reinforces the power of collective action in creating positive change.”

The partnership between Bank Alfalah and IHHN exemplifies the critical role the corporate sector plays in promoting sustainable healthcare solutions and community well-being, particularly in times of crisis.
