UnumPay Launches Google Pay Nationwide in Pakistan, Accelerating Digital Commerce Evolution

UnumPay, a rapidly growing payment mediation platform known for facilitating over $72 million in gross merchandise value (GMV) globally, has officially launched Google Pay acceptance across its merchant network in Pakistan. This nationwide rollout marks a pivotal advancement in Pakistan’s journey toward a digital-first economy, enabling seamless and secure contactless payments for millions of local consumers.

With this strategic integration, UnumPay is reshaping Pakistan’s digital payment landscape by aligning it with international best practices. This move empowers both local and global merchants operating in the country to accept payments via Google Pay, offering users a fast, secure, and frictionless checkout experience. The integration is already live with major Payment Service Providers (PSPs) including MCB, HBL, and Bank Alfalah. Swich, another major payment gateway, is also set to enable Google Pay soon. Additional PSPs are expected to follow, creating an expansive, interoperable payment network across Pakistan.

For Pakistani consumers, the update brings new levels of ease to online and offline shopping. Users with Google Wallet-enabled smartphones can now add their debit or credit cards to their devices and pay with a single tap at UnumPay-supported checkouts. This streamlined process removes the need for manual data entry, reducing cart abandonment and improving overall user satisfaction. Google’s built-in tokenization ensures high-level security, further bolstering consumer trust.

“This integration represents more than technological advancement; it’s about democratizing access to global payment standards for Pakistani merchants and consumers,” said Usman Asif, CEO of Devsinc, the parent company of UnumPay. His vision underscores the importance of creating inclusive financial tools that can empower businesses and consumers alike in an increasingly digital economy.

For merchants, the benefits are immediate and substantial. The one-tap payment system simplifies the checkout process, increasing conversion rates by reducing friction. Enhanced security protocols provide protection against fraud and data breaches. Additionally, UnumPay’s unified dashboard offers merchants a single interface to manage multiple payment methods, streamlining operations and improving customer experience.

This integration also reflects UnumPay’s broader ambition to build a robust digital infrastructure within Pakistan. The platform already connects merchants with more than 35 global payment service providers and facilitates transactions in 15 countries, including the US, UK, and over seven countries in the GCC. By enabling international-standard payment solutions domestically, UnumPay is leveling the playing field for Pakistani businesses striving to compete on a global scale.

UnumPay’s expansion comes at a crucial time when Pakistan is witnessing a surge in digital transactions and e-commerce growth. The addition of Google Pay as a standard option across UnumPay’s network not only enhances consumer choice but also reinforces trust in digital payments—a critical factor in driving adoption among traditionally cash-reliant users.

As Pakistan continues to transition from a cash-heavy economy to a more digitally inclusive environment, initiatives like UnumPay’s Google Pay rollout are essential. By integrating leading global payment technologies, UnumPay is helping build a future-ready commerce ecosystem that supports innovation, fosters financial inclusion, and enables long-term growth for businesses across the country.
