PayFast Launches Google Pay Integration Across 5,000+ Merchants in Pakistan

PayFast has announced the nationwide rollout of Google Pay acceptance across its network of over 5,000 merchants, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s evolving digital payments landscape. This strategic move enables millions of local consumers to access global-standard payment solutions with added convenience, speed, and security when shopping online.

With Google Wallet now supported through PayFast, users can add their debit or credit cards to their accounts and make swift, contactless payments via Google Pay during online checkout. The integration simplifies the online shopping experience by removing the need to manually input card details. Instead, customers can now tap and pay instantly—helping reduce cart abandonment and significantly enhancing the overall eCommerce journey.

Consumers across diverse sectors such as fashion, food, technology, and education will benefit from faster and more secure transactions. This initiative comes at a crucial time when digital payment adoption in Pakistan is accelerating, and both consumers and merchants are seeking reliable, scalable solutions that match international standards.

PayFast emphasizes that the key benefits of this integration include a significantly faster checkout process, improved payment security through Google’s advanced encryption and tokenization technology, and the availability of a trusted global payment method for local consumers. This move makes everyday purchases easier and more efficient for Pakistani users, whether they are shopping on large eCommerce platforms or supporting small, independent businesses online.

Adnan Ali, CEO of PayFast, shared his thoughts on the integration:
“By enabling Google Pay across our merchant network, we’re reaffirming our role as a leading platform providing a holistic checkout experience for everyone. From debit and credit cards to Raast—and now Google Pay—PayFast is simplifying payments through a unified, secure, and customer-centric gateway, all in one seamless integration.”

Adding to this, Mr. Arshad Raza, Chairman of Premier Systems, commented on the broader vision:
“This launch reflects our vision of positioning Pakistan at the forefront of digital innovation. Enabling Google Pay across thousands of businesses not only enhances convenience but also sets a new benchmark for secure and scalable payment solutions nationwide.”

This rollout highlights PayFast’s continued commitment to transforming Pakistan’s digital economy through accessible fintech infrastructure. With over 5,000 active merchants and growing, PayFast is not just a payment gateway but a key enabler of the country’s financial ecosystem—bridging global technologies with local commerce.

By streamlining the payment experience for merchants, banks, fintech companies, and end users, PayFast is playing a vital role in building a more inclusive and efficient digital payment environment. As the adoption of digital wallets and mobile-based payments increases, partnerships like this position Pakistan among countries embracing secure, modern transaction methods that meet both local needs and international expectations.
