JazzCash Partners With itel Pakistan To Expand Device Purchases Through Digital Payments and Yeylo Instalments

JazzCash has partnered with itel Pakistan to combine digital payment services, buy now, pay later (BNPL) financing and corporate disbursement solutions to facilitate purchases of affordable mobile devices in Pakistan. The partnership was formalised during a signing ceremony at JazzCash’s regional headquarters in Karachi, attended by Richard, Country Head of itel Pakistan, and Umair Ali Khan, Head of Enterprise at JazzCash, alongside representatives from both organisations. The collaboration brings together itel’s portfolio of consumer devices and JazzCash’s digital financial services, with Yeylo providing an instalment-based payment option for eligible purchases. The arrangement is intended to give customers more flexibility when buying smartphones and other devices while enabling digital payments through supported channels. It also reflects the growing use of embedded finance in retail, where payment and financing options are integrated into the purchasing process instead of being offered separately from the point of sale.

A central component of the collaboration is JazzCash’s payment gateway, which enables businesses to accept digital payments through online checkout systems. Depending on the merchant integration, customers can pay through supported JazzCash payment methods rather than relying exclusively on cash or conventional payment arrangements. For businesses, a payment gateway can simplify transaction processing and provide digital records that support reconciliation and reporting. JazzCash also offers corporate payment and disbursement services that allow organisations to distribute funds to beneficiaries across the country. Under the newly announced partnership, these capabilities are being brought together with itel’s device sales and Yeylo’s BNPL service. The companies have not publicly detailed the complete technical integration, the scope of corporate disbursements under the agreement or whether the arrangement will initially cover all itel sales channels. The announcement nevertheless positions digital payment acceptance and flexible payment options as key elements of the collaboration.

Yeylo is JazzCash’s BNPL offering, which allows eligible customers to divide qualifying purchases into installments instead of paying the entire amount upfront. Information published on itel Pakistan’s official online store describes a Pay-in-3 option for eligible smartphones, feature phones and tablets, with the purchase amount divided into three monthly installments. Under the model, customers pay an initial instalment at the time of purchase and settle the remaining amounts according to the applicable schedule. The availability of instalments can make a device purchase more manageable for some customers, particularly when paying the full price at once is difficult. However, BNPL is a financing arrangement rather than a discount, and customers should review the total payable amount, service charges, eligibility conditions, repayment dates and consequences of missed payments before proceeding. The exact terms may depend on the transaction and the applicable offer, so customers should confirm the current conditions displayed during checkout instead of assuming that every device or purchaser qualifies.

The partnership also supports the broader shift towards digital retail payments in Pakistan, where mobile wallets, online payment gateways and instalment-based services are increasingly being incorporated into consumer purchasing journeys. For itel, the arrangement provides an additional route for presenting device-payment options to customers, while JazzCash can extend the use of its payment infrastructure through a consumer electronics brand. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both organisations, including Mirza Ahsan Baig and Muhammad Faizan Shaikh from JazzCash, and Jedan, Abdullah Qureshi, Ahmed Ali and Aruba Memon from itel Pakistan. The companies have not disclosed the financial value of the partnership, projected sales, the number of customers expected to use the services or a nationwide rollout schedule. Customers can review eligible devices and available instalment options through the official itel Pakistan online store and learn more about payment services through the JazzCash website. The partnership combines device retail, digital payment acceptance and instalment financing, although its wider impact will depend on customer eligibility, the terms offered and adoption across supported sales channels.
