QSPL Partners With TPL Insurance to Introduce Embedded Protection Against Account Takeovers and Unauthorized Transactions

QSPL has partnered with TPL Insurance to introduce an embedded insurance protocol across QSPL’s transaction channels, aiming to provide merchants with real-time protection against financial risks associated with digital transactions. The collaboration integrates insurance protection directly into QSPL’s transaction ecosystem, allowing merchants to access coverage without going through a separate policy onboarding process. The companies said the initiative is designed to make digital transactions safer while maintaining a convenient payment experience for businesses using QSPL’s services.

Under the partnership, the embedded insurance protocol will provide protection against risks including account takeover and unauthorized transactions. These risks have become increasingly relevant as businesses and merchants rely on digital payment channels for day-to-day financial activity. Account takeover incidents can potentially give unauthorized individuals access to merchant accounts, while unauthorized transactions can expose businesses to direct financial losses. By integrating protection into transaction channels, QSPL and TPL Insurance are seeking to address these risks within the same digital environment where transactions take place.

The embedded approach removes the need for merchants to separately navigate an insurance onboarding process before receiving protection through the integrated solution. This can make insurance more accessible for businesses that may not traditionally engage with standalone insurance products. For QSPL, the partnership adds a risk-protection layer to its existing transaction infrastructure, while TPL Insurance gains an opportunity to distribute insurance coverage through a digital financial platform. The model reflects a wider shift in financial services toward embedded products, where insurance and other financial services are incorporated directly into platforms and customer journeys rather than being offered as separate services.

The collaboration also aligns with QSPL’s stated focus on financial inclusion, with the company emphasizing that access to financial services also needs to be accompanied by greater security and resilience. As digital payments expand, merchants increasingly depend on electronic transaction channels, making protection against unauthorized activity an important consideration alongside convenience and accessibility. The partnership with TPL Insurance therefore combines payment infrastructure with insurance protection to address both aspects within a single ecosystem.

The launch represents another example of how fintech platforms and insurance providers are working together to integrate protection into digital financial services. Rather than requiring merchants to purchase and manage a separate insurance product, embedded insurance allows coverage to become part of an existing transaction experience. QSPL and TPL Insurance said the initiative is intended to give merchants greater confidence when using digital transaction channels while supporting safer participation in the digital economy. The partnership could also contribute to broader adoption of embedded financial protection in Pakistan as businesses increasingly shift their payments and financial operations toward digital platforms.
