Zindigi and PostEx Digitize COD Payments to Revolutionize Pakistan’s Logistics

Zindigi and PostEx have partnered to tackle the challenges faced by Pakistan’s logistics and e-commerce sectors by digitizing cash-on-delivery (COD) payments. Using RAAST’s Dynamic QR feature, delivery riders can generate QR codes via the PostEx app, allowing customers to make secure digital payments instantly. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on cash, streamline operations, and improve security for merchants, riders, and customers.

In Pakistan, COD accounts for 90% of e-commerce transactions, making cash handling a significant issue. The traditional method exposes delivery riders to risks of theft and loss while causing delays in payment processing for merchants. By adopting the QR-based system, payments can be completed seamlessly using mobile banking apps. This cashless process not only enhances convenience for consumers but also eases operational burdens for logistics providers. The system is being piloted in six major cities, with the goal of fostering greater trust in digital payments and advancing the country toward a cashless economy.

The collaboration also introduces Wallet Integration, enabling consumers to use digital wallets for faster, secure transactions. Together, the Dynamic QR and Wallet Integration projects aim to modernize COD payments, providing a flexible and efficient payment experience. These digital solutions address the inefficiencies of cash transactions and improve the overall logistics process.

Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer at Zindigi, highlighted how the partnership enhances financial interactions by offering secure and convenient cashless options. Jawad Mirza, CEO of Logistics at PostEx, emphasized that QR payments simplify the cash collection process for riders and accelerate settlements for merchants while offering a smoother experience for customers.

This initiative represents a significant step toward a technology-driven logistics sector in Pakistan. By addressing cash-related challenges, the collaboration between Zindigi and PostEx creates a more secure and efficient payment ecosystem for e-commerce. The pilot project is expected to pave the way for broader adoption of digital payments, contributing to the country’s digital transformation and financial inclusion goals.
