On October 17, 2024, PEA representatives met with Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), and Mian Abuzar Shad, President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), to discuss actionable strategies for improving the e-commerce landscape in Pakistan.
The PEA delegation included key members such as Haider Ahmed Qazi, Azam Malik, Faheem Raza, Uns Naeem, Syed Jahangir Ali, Rana Hassan Talal, and Touseeef Bajwa. Umair Arshad, a founding member and Information Secretary of the PEA, led the discussions, focusing on the necessity of reducing taxation and fostering a more conducive environment for e-commerce growth.
