easypaisa digital bank has launched LEAD, a People Manager’s Toolkit aimed at developing leadership capabilities among its middle management. The initiative is part of the digital bank’s broader focus on learning, employee development and leadership capability, with the programme designed to help managers build the skills, mindset and confidence required to handle workplace responsibilities more effectively. According to easypaisa, leadership development is viewed as an ongoing process that requires continuous learning and adaptation. The launch reflects the company’s efforts to provide managers with structured opportunities to develop their approach to leadership while addressing practical challenges that arise in their day-to-day roles. easypaisa has previously maintained a focus on organisational learning and development, including leadership initiatives and employee capability programmes.
The LEAD programme has started in Lahore with a two-day immersive session led by leadership and management development professional Sohail Zindani. The session brings managers together around real-world leadership challenges, allowing participants to examine leadership principles and consider how those principles can be applied within their organisational responsibilities. Zindani’s professional work includes leadership development, executive coaching, change management, customer service and management consulting, providing a background aligned with the objectives of the programme. The training is intended to move beyond theoretical discussions by connecting leadership concepts with practical workplace situations and decision-making. Through this format, easypaisa is seeking to give its people managers an opportunity to reflect on their management responsibilities while developing approaches that can be applied within their teams.
The launch of LEAD also adds to easypaisa’s wider leadership-development activities. The company recently highlighted its Forward leadership development programme, developed in partnership with the Rausing Executive Development Centre at SDSB-LUMS. That programme included an inaugural all-women cohort and focused on leadership capabilities, confidence, leadership presence and professional growth. easypaisa has also conducted other employee learning initiatives covering areas such as corporate investigations, workplace ethics, fraud and misconduct handling, evidence collection and internal controls. These activities indicate that the company is using different learning programmes for different employee groups and organisational needs, ranging from people management and leadership to governance and workplace practices.
With LEAD now underway, easypaisa plans to continue the programme as part of its efforts to develop managers across the organisation. The People Manager’s Toolkit is focused specifically on middle managers, who play an important role in translating organisational priorities into everyday team practices. By bringing managers together for structured learning and practical discussion, the programme provides a platform for participants to examine leadership challenges and develop management capabilities. easypaisa said the Lahore session marks the beginning of the initiative, with further activity expected as the company continues its leadership development efforts. The programme adds another layer to the digital bank’s employee development strategy as it builds structured learning opportunities for managers and other employees across the organisation.
