Bank Alfalah Launches Eatsy: Pakistan’s First Bank-Led Digital Dining and Payment App

Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s leading commercial banks, has announced the launch of Eatsy, an innovative restaurant-focused app that marks a first for the country’s banking sector. Positioned as Pakistan’s first bank-led end-to-end digital dining and payment solution, Eatsy is designed to revolutionize the restaurant experience by digitising every stage of the dine-in journey — from table reservation to real-time ordering and secure cashless payments.

With Eatsy, Bank Alfalah aims to blend digital banking with lifestyle, bringing embedded financial technology into the everyday dining experience. The app enables both customers and restaurant partners to engage in a seamless and entirely paperless environment that supports efficiency, speed, and ease.

The initial rollout of Eatsy has seen the onboarding of 11 prominent tier-one restaurants across Karachi and Lahore. These include well-known dining establishments such as Premo by Xanders, The Patio, Tooso, Coco Cubano, Enigma, and London Courtyard. The bank has set its sights on expanding this footprint throughout the year, with the objective of further digitising restaurant operations nationwide.

According to Yahya Khan, Chief Digital Officer at Bank Alfalah, Eatsy is a key step in the bank’s broader strategy of embedded banking. “By combining the convenience of mobile payments with the everyday dining experience, we are enabling a cashless ecosystem that benefits both our customers and restaurant partners. Our goal is to simplify embedded payments, promote financial inclusion, and create a digital lifestyle solution that becomes a natural part of the modern consumer’s life,” said Khan.

For diners, Eatsy delivers a personalised and frictionless experience. Through an intuitive interface, users can browse digital menus, place real-time orders, and reserve tables based on live availability — eliminating the traditional wait for servers or phone-based reservations. Built-in features also allow users to track the status of their meal, from kitchen preparation to table delivery.

When it comes to payments, Eatsy ensures a secure, cashless experience. It supports all Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards issued by any bank, and allows users to generate a Bank Alfalah prepaid card within the app. This facilitates instant top-ups and payments, removing the need for physical cards or cash. Additionally, users benefit from exclusive cashback deals and tax savings when they use digital payment methods through Eatsy, adding value to every transaction.

For restaurant partners, Eatsy provides a comprehensive digital operations platform. It simplifies table and reservation management, facilitates smoother communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff, and reduces order errors. Furthermore, restaurants can issue and accept prepaid cards via the app, enabling faster and more controlled payment processes.

Payments received through Eatsy are processed in real-time, enhancing cash flow for merchants and simplifying accounting through automated records. The app also provides operational insights and analytics, allowing restaurants to better understand customer preferences and improve service delivery based on real data.

Eatsy’s launch signals a pivotal shift in Pakistan’s fintech landscape by embedding banking services into lifestyle platforms. It represents the first time a commercial bank in Pakistan has digitised both consumer and merchant aspects of restaurant operations and payment, demonstrating a strategic vision to transition cash-based customers into digital users.

As Bank Alfalah accelerates its digital transformation agenda, Eatsy is now available for download, offering users a smarter way to dine with just a few taps — from booking a table to settling the bill. The move underscores the bank’s commitment to innovation, financial inclusion, and creating a digitally empowered lifestyle for consumers and businesses alike.
