Bank of Khyber and BPC Partner for Enhanced Online Transaction Security

Bank of Khyber (BOK), a leading Pakistani bank, has entered into a significant partnership with BPC, a financial technology solutions leader, to bolster e-commerce and online transaction security. The collaboration involves equipping all Bank of Khyber’s Mastercard debit cards with 3D Secure authentication, meeting the latest industry standards to enhance security for online transactions and protect customers from unauthorized access and fraud.

The official agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by key figures from both institutions, including Asad Mehmood Siddiqui, divisional head of digital banking at Bank of Khyber, and Furrukh Ali Baig, managing director for BPC Pakistan. The partnership aims to leverage BPC’s expertise through its international processing center to provide similar functionalities to numerous banks.

Bank of Khyber is set to introduce secure transactions with Mastercard debit cards featuring 3D Secure technology in the upcoming year. The 3D Secure ACS is an authentication protocol that verifies cardholders’ identities during the payment process, adding an extra layer of security to online transactions. This collaboration ensures that only authorized cardholders can complete online purchases, offering enhanced security to Bank of Khyber’s cardholders.

Asad Mehmood Siddiqui expressed, “This collaboration with BPC is a testament to our dedication to providing our customers with the most secure and efficient banking solutions.” He added, “We are pleased to offer our customers enhanced security and peace of mind with these new features.”

For BPC, this partnership aligns with their commitment to advancing financial security technologies. Furrukh Ali Baig remarked, “We are honored to partner with Bank of Khyber and bring BPC’s cutting-edge eCommerce solutions to them, so they can then serve their esteemed customers in a much more seamless manner.” He emphasized the significance of this step in enhancing digital transaction security globally, particularly in Pakistan.

BPC, founded in 1996, is a global industry leader focused on quick, safe, and easy payment processing. With a customer base of 350 across 100 countries, BPC collaborates with ecosystem players to deliver services for the digital world, offering solutions ranging from digital banking to smart cities solutions.
