AssanPay has highlighted new customer relationship management capabilities designed to give businesses greater control over team access and customer conversations. The payment technology company said its CRM allows businesses to assign specific roles to Agents, Sales Managers, Finance teams, Support teams and other users according to their responsibilities. The feature is designed around role-based access, allowing organizations to determine what different members of a team can access while managing customer interactions through the platform. AssanPay’s broader platform provides digital payment infrastructure for businesses, including payment collection and disbursement capabilities through multiple channels. The company describes its technology as supporting integrations with mobile wallets, digital banking interfaces and e-commerce environments.
The role-based access functionality is intended to help businesses manage permissions according to individual responsibilities rather than providing every team member with the same level of access. Under the system highlighted by AssanPay, businesses can assign appropriate roles to different groups involved in customer and payment operations. Agents may handle customer conversations, while Sales Managers, Finance teams and Support teams can receive access based on their respective functions. This type of access structure can be particularly relevant for businesses managing customer information and payment-related activities, where different departments may need access to different parts of an organization’s operations. By allowing businesses to define roles, the CRM can provide a more structured approach to team management while keeping customer interactions within a centralized platform.
AssanPay has also highlighted a human handover feature within its CRM for situations where automated conversations need direct intervention from a customer service representative. When a customer conversation requires personal assistance, an agent can disable the bot and take over the conversation directly. This allows businesses to use automated chat interactions for routine customer queries while retaining the ability to move conversations to human representatives when necessary. AssanPay has separately promoted WhatsApp Payments, where its WhatsApp Bot can guide customers through conversations, provide payment information and take them toward completing payments within WhatsApp. The CRM functionality adds a team-management layer to these customer interactions by giving businesses tools to determine which employees can manage conversations and when human intervention should take place.
The latest CRM capabilities form part of AssanPay’s broader push to provide businesses with payment and merchant-management tools through a unified platform. The company recently highlighted its merchant app, which allows businesses to manage collections and settlements from one place, while its wider payment infrastructure supports cards, wallets, QR payments and other digital channels. AssanPay also showcased multi-channel payment solutions, merchant tools, WhatsApp Payments and Raast QR at ITCN Asia 2026. The addition of CRM access controls and human chat handover extends the platform beyond payment processing into areas involving customer communication and internal team management. For businesses using digital payment channels, the ability to combine payment operations with customer interaction tools can help bring different parts of the payment journey into a more centralized workflow.
