UBL Digital Introduces Raast Request To Pay For Faster And Easier Online Shopping Payments

United Bank Limited (UBL) has introduced Raast Request to Pay (RTP) through its UBL Digital app, giving customers a simpler way to complete online shopping payments. The new feature allows shoppers to select Raast RTP at checkout and initiate a payment using their Raast ID, such as their registered mobile number, without having to complete lengthy payment forms.

Under the new process, customers can select Raast RTP as their preferred payment option when shopping online and enter their Raast ID. A payment request is then automatically sent to the customer’s UBL Digital app, where they can review the request and proceed with the payment.

The feature also gives customers greater flexibility over when they complete the transaction. Instead of entering payment information directly on the merchant checkout page, users can open the payment request through the UBL Digital app and tap “Pay Now” to authorize the transaction.

UBL said the introduction of Raast RTP is aimed at making online payments more convenient while providing customers with a secure payment experience through the bank’s digital banking platform. The feature builds on Raast infrastructure to connect online shopping checkouts with customers’ banking applications.

The launch adds another digital payment option for UBL customers as Pakistan’s payment ecosystem continues to expand. By integrating Raast Request to Pay into UBL Digital, the bank is bringing account-based payments closer to everyday online shopping and reducing the steps required for customers to complete digital transactions.
