Telenor Microfinance Bank Rebrands as Easypaisa Digital Bank to Enhance Digital Banking Services

Telenor Microfinance Bank has officially rebranded to Easypaisa Digital Bank, effective from January 28, 2025. The bank, now operating under the registered name Easypaisa Bank Limited (formerly Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited), is shifting its focus from a traditional microfinance bank to a comprehensive digital retail bank.

This rebranding marks a significant step in the evolution of the bank, which is now set to deliver an expanded suite of services fully integrated into its well-established easypaisa platform. As part of the rebranding, the bank will continue to offer its renowned digital banking solutions, now with an even broader range of products and services aimed at enhancing the customer experience.

Operating under the Banking Companies Ordinance (BCO), 1962, Easypaisa Digital Bank will not see any changes in its existing shareholding structure. The bank’s evolution is part of Pakistan’s larger trend toward digital banking, and it aligns with the country’s growing financial inclusion initiatives.

Easypaisa Digital Bank will now offer a broader array of services, including digital accounts, consumer lending solutions, and term deposit services. The bank is also working on developing an even more extensive product suite to further enhance its digital banking capabilities, aiming to meet the financial needs of an increasingly tech-savvy population.

The bank’s operational infrastructure will be supported by its user-friendly digital banking platforms, with the easypaisa app leading the charge. The bank will also maintain a strong nationwide agent network, smart branches, Sales & Service Centers, and ATMs, all designed to ensure seamless service delivery. Additionally, the bank offers 24/7 customer support via its help center and USSD channels, reinforcing its commitment to continuous service availability.

Easypaisa Digital Bank emphasized its commitment to adhering to the highest standards of regulatory compliance, risk management, and digital innovation, ensuring that its services will continue to empower financial inclusion and create new opportunities for its customers across Pakistan.
