Mobilink Bank Partners with NIBAF to Boost Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth

Mobilink Bank, Pakistan’s leading digital microfinance institution, has joined forces with the National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF) to showcase its innovative Commercial Vehicle product to the broader banking industry. This initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship, stimulate economic growth, and create employment opportunities for societal development.

In collaboration with NIBAF, Mobilink Bank seeks to enhance inclusivity, providing crucial support to underprivileged communities and inspiring entrepreneurial endeavors, particularly among young and underserved individuals, including women entrepreneurs. The Commercial Vehicle product, introduced through this partnership, has already become a valuable asset for several women entrepreneurs.

A subsidiary of the VEON group, a global digital operator serving nearly 160 million customers across six dynamic markets, Mobilink Bank is dedicated to social responsibility and financial inclusion. The agreement, signed at the NIBAF Headquarters in Islamabad, involved Ghazanfar Azzam, President and CEO of Mobilink Bank, and Riaz Nazarali Chunara, Managing Director of NIBAF, along with senior management from both organizations.

Ghazanfar Azzam emphasized the significance of equal opportunities for prosperity and highlighted Mobilink Bank’s commitment to social responsibility and financial inclusion. The partnership aims to empower the underprivileged through accessible financial services, education, and skill-building initiatives, fostering a more equitable society and economy.

Riaz Nazarali Chunara, Managing Director of NIBAF, underscored the joint effort to uplift the underbanked through enhanced financial inclusivity. The collaboration merges banking expertise with microfinance initiatives, creating self-employment and job opportunities, particularly for marginalized individuals, including women. The strategic alliance focuses on boosting financial education, enabling access to resources for sustainable livelihoods, and catalyzing positive socio-economic impact.

Mobilink Bank’s dedication to fostering positive change is evident through its support for hundreds of young entrepreneurs, catalyzing business initiation and expansion. This commitment generates multiple job opportunities, especially benefiting rural and low-income communities. As a beacon for economic growth and sustainable development among the underserved, Mobilink Bank continues to contribute to nationwide progress.
