Meezan Bank and PayFast have teamed up to bring Pakistan’s digital payments revolution to a new level

Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, has launched PayFast, the country’s first payment gateway and the country’s sixth PSO/PSP overall to gain commercial permission from the State Bank of Pakistan. Customers of the Bank will be able to transact online using their bank accounts thanks to the gateway.

Customers can make real-time payments on APPS’ merchant network, which includes eCommerce businesses, marketplaces, schools, billers, and more, using payment cards and mobile wallets instead of bank account numbers.

“Our goal is to bring convenience in the digital payment by providing acceptance of payment instruments available to the masses,” said Mr. Adnan Ali, CEO of APPS, in a statement. As a result, we are pleased to announce Meezan Bank as the tenth bank to join PayFast in our mission to disrupt Pakistan’s digital payment landscape.”
