JazzCash has been named among the finalists in two categories at the Money20/20 Money Awards 2026, recognizing its work in digital financial services and financial inclusion in Pakistan. The company has been shortlisted in the Strategic Alliance & Partnership and Banking (InsurTech) categories, with its nominations highlighting separate initiatives in government welfare disbursements and affordable insurance. According to JazzCash, its Strategic Alliance & Partnership nomination centers on its role in digitizing government welfare payments, through which the company has channelized more than PKR 100 billion to over 3 million beneficiaries during 2026 so far. The company said the figure includes more than PKR 20 billion delivered directly into the digital wallets of 1.48 million women through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The development reflects the increasing use of digital channels for government-to-person payments, allowing financial assistance to be distributed through electronic wallets rather than relying entirely on conventional cash-based processes. Digital disbursement can provide beneficiaries with direct access to funds while also creating a traceable payment channel for large-scale welfare programmes. JazzCash’s recognition in the Strategic Alliance & Partnership category therefore highlights the role of its payment infrastructure and partnerships in supporting government-led financial assistance programmes.
The second nomination is in the Banking (InsurTech) category and focuses on JazzCash’s Sehat+ health-protection platform. JazzCash said Sehat+ currently serves 2.38 million active customers, with 27.7 million policies issued to date. The platform offers insurance coverage starting from PKR 3 per day and is aimed at making health protection more accessible to Pakistan’s informal workforce. The company has also expanded its insurance offering through InsureNow, extending coverage beyond health protection to areas including travel, vehicle, home and mobile-device insurance. The expansion represents an effort to provide a wider range of insurance products through digital financial channels, particularly for customers who may not traditionally have extensive access to formal insurance services. By integrating insurance products into a digital platform, fintech and financial-service providers can offer customers a more accessible way to purchase and manage different types of coverage. JazzCash’s Sehat+ and InsureNow initiatives consequently form the basis of its second Money Awards 2026 nomination, highlighting the growing connection between digital payments, financial services and insurance technology in Pakistan.
JazzCash’s latest nominations also follow recognition received at last year’s Money20/20 USA 2025, where its ReadyCash digital lending service received a Silver award in the Banking category. ReadyCash is part of JazzCash’s broader portfolio of digital financial services, alongside payments, wallets and other products designed to provide users with access to financial tools through digital channels. The company’s latest finalist positions bring together several areas of its business, including government payment disbursements, insurance and digital financial services. The scale of the figures shared by JazzCash also illustrates the growing role of digital platforms in distributing financial products and services to large customer groups. More than PKR 100 billion in welfare disbursements and millions of active insurance customers represent significant transaction and service volumes, although the impact of these initiatives depends on continued customer usage, accessibility and the effectiveness of the underlying financial infrastructure. The nominations place these developments within the broader international fintech and financial-services industry represented at Money20/20.
The winners of the Money Awards 2026 are scheduled to be announced in Las Vegas next month, according to JazzCash. The company’s two finalist positions cover distinct areas of financial services, with one focused on partnerships and digital government welfare payments and the other on insurance technology. Together, the nominations highlight how digital financial platforms are increasingly being used for purposes beyond conventional payments, including social protection, insurance and digital lending. For Pakistan’s financial sector, these developments are part of a wider expansion of technology-enabled services aimed at increasing access to formal financial products. JazzCash’s participation in the Money Awards also follows its recognition for ReadyCash in 2025, giving the company another opportunity to showcase its digital financial services on an international industry platform. The final results will determine whether the company receives awards in either of its two nominated categories.
