JazzCash Chief Product Officer to Discuss Stablecoins and Cross-Border Payments at IAMTN Summit 2026

JazzCash Chief Product Officer Aamir Aftab is set to join a panel discussion on stablecoins and the future of cross-border payments at the IAMTN Summit 2026 in London. The session, titled “Stablecoins and Beyond: The Next Frontier in Cross-Border Payments,” will examine how stablecoins are reshaping remittances and global commerce while exploring the factors that could influence their mainstream adoption.

Aamir Aftab brings more than 24 years of experience across telecommunications, digital services and financial services. At JazzCash, he is responsible for leading the development of customer-focused financial solutions as the company continues to expand its role in Pakistan’s digital payments ecosystem.

The panel will focus on the growing use of stablecoins in cross-border transactions and their potential impact on international remittances and global commerce. Stablecoins, which are digital assets designed to maintain a relatively stable value, have gained increasing attention as financial institutions and fintech companies explore new approaches to moving money across borders.

The discussion will also consider the challenges involved in bringing stablecoin-based payment solutions into mainstream use. Issues surrounding regulation, adoption, merchant acceptance, infrastructure and integration with existing financial systems remain important considerations as the technology develops.

The IAMTN Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place in London on October 7 and 8, bringing together industry professionals and stakeholders from the international money transfer and payments sector. Aamir Aftab participation will give JazzCash an opportunity to contribute to discussions around the evolving relationship between stablecoins, digital payments and cross-border financial services.
