InvestPak Enables Public Access to Government Securities Through Digital Platform

The public can now access government securities directly through InvestPak, a digital investment platform available through a web portal and mobile application. Qasim Nadeem, Group Chief at the Bank of Punjab, highlighted the platform as a way for individuals to invest in government securities that are backed by the Government of Pakistan. The initiative provides investors with a digital channel for accessing government-backed investment products without relying entirely on traditional investment processes.

InvestPak is designed to make investment in government securities more convenient through digital access. Users can register through the InvestPak web portal or mobile app and use the platform to participate in government securities investment. By moving the process to digital channels, the platform provides individuals with a technology-enabled method to access investment opportunities and manage their participation more conveniently.

Government securities are debt instruments issued by the government to raise funds, with different instruments offering investors varying maturities and returns. Their government backing makes them an important part of the country’s financial markets and provides individuals with an alternative investment option. Through platforms such as InvestPak, access to these instruments can be extended beyond traditional channels and made more accessible to individual investors.

The introduction and promotion of digital investment platforms also reflect the broader digitalization of Pakistan’s financial services sector. Technology is increasingly being used to simplify access to financial products, from banking and payments to savings and investments. Providing government securities through a web portal and mobile application allows the investment process to be integrated into digital financial services, potentially making it easier for more individuals to explore formal investment options.

InvestPak’s digital access model is aimed at providing a convenient route for individuals interested in government securities. Users can register on the platform and access investment services through either the web or mobile application. The initiative highlights the growing role of digital finance in connecting individuals with formal financial and investment products and represents another step toward expanding digital access to Pakistan’s government securities market.
