Fahad Awan, CEO of Easy Insurance, highlighted how InsurTech tools are enabling insurers to gather and analyze data more effectively. This data-driven approach allows companies to offer personalized products and manage risks with greater precision. Similarly, Sibtain Jiwani, Founder of Smart Choice, discussed how automation and artificial intelligence are being integrated into traditional insurance workflows, reducing manual processes while improving speed and accuracy. Panelists observed that such technologies are not only helping insurance companies but are also opening new avenues for financial inclusion in underserved regions of Pakistan.
Ishaq Kothawala, CEO and Founder of Waada, and Waqar Asghar, CEO and Founder of Mawazna, spoke about the importance of collaboration between startups and established insurance providers. They noted that partnerships allow the integration of innovative digital solutions into existing systems, enabling faster adaptation and broader reach. Both highlighted the growing interest in mobile-based platforms that allow customers to purchase policies, submit claims, and track coverage easily from their smartphones. The panel concluded that while regulatory and operational challenges remain, the expansion of InsurTech in Pakistan is creating tangible benefits for consumers and insurers alike, contributing to a more digitally enabled financial ecosystem.
