Daraz Pakistan has brought together sellers, brand representatives and industry stakeholders through two major industry events as the e-commerce platform prepares for its annual 11.11 shopping festival. The company held the Daraz Seller Summit in Karachi and its first-ever Daraz Brands Summit in Lahore, attracting more than 1,200 participants across both gatherings. The events focused on improving collaboration with businesses operating on the platform, sharing market insights and identifying opportunities for growth in Pakistan’s online retail sector. The Seller Summit returned after a three-year gap, while the Brands Summit marked a new initiative to build closer relationships with established and emerging brands.
During the summits, Daraz outlined four priorities for its marketplace: speed, variety, quality and value. These areas reflect the company’s focus on improving the shopping experience, expanding product selection, supporting consumer confidence and offering competitive value. The company also discussed investments in technology, fulfillment capabilities, seller tools and platform improvements intended to help businesses manage online operations and serve customers more effectively. Daraz Managing Director Ben Yi said the company aims to provide businesses of different sizes with the technology and infrastructure needed to reach more customers and pursue new growth opportunities.
The Seller Summit brought together more than 1,000 sellers for discussions, knowledge sharing and recognition of their contributions to the marketplace. Sessions focused on improving online operations, expanding product selection, maintaining service quality and using platform tools and insights to support business performance. The inaugural Brands Summit, meanwhile, gathered representatives from 200 brands across electronics, fashion, beauty, fast-moving consumer goods and lifestyle categories. Discussions explored ways to increase brand visibility, introduce products, acquire customers and use data-driven insights to develop long-term partnerships. Daraz also highlighted DarazMall, its destination for branded products, which has approximately 1,500 verified brand stores, according to the company.
The upcoming 11.11 shopping festival was a central topic at both events, with Daraz discussing opportunities for sellers and brands to reach new customers and increase product visibility during the campaign. The company also emphasized the importance of competitive offers, reliable fulfilment, product authenticity and customer experience in encouraging shoppers to return beyond major sale events. By bringing marketplace sellers and brand partners together before the campaign, Daraz aims to coordinate preparations and improve the overall shopping experience. The events reflect the platform’s broader efforts to develop its digital commerce ecosystem and create more opportunities for businesses to participate in Pakistan’s expanding online retail market.
