Bank Alfalah Launches Worklee: Pakistan’s First Hiring and Remote Working App to Empower Women, PwDs, and Freelancers

Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s leading commercial banks, has officially launched Worklee, the country’s first-ever human resources hiring and remote working app. This innovative platform is designed to break traditional employment barriers by offering flexible and inclusive job opportunities to individuals from diverse segments of society. The app focuses particularly on empowering women seeking remote jobs, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and freelancers, enabling them to participate actively in the formal workforce without the limitations of physical office environments.

The Worklee app represents a transformative shift in the way employment is structured in Pakistan. By embracing a digital-first approach to talent acquisition and work delivery, Bank Alfalah is aligning itself with the changing dynamics of work culture and advancing its commitment to financial empowerment and equality. The initiative directly supports the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) ‘Banking on Equality’ policy framework, which encourages financial institutions to foster greater inclusion and gender diversity.

Through the Worklee platform, candidates can easily register, create professional profiles, and apply for open roles within Bank Alfalah. Where applicable, selected candidates will also have the option to perform their job functions remotely. This approach offers individuals greater autonomy, flexible work hours, and the ability to contribute professionally regardless of their geographical or physical constraints. The platform not only serves as a bridge between job seekers and meaningful employment but also strengthens the bank’s human capital by tapping into underutilized talent pools.

In its initial phase, the Worklee app will facilitate remote hiring for the role of WhatsApp chat agents in Bank Alfalah’s contact center. However, the bank has plans to expand this offering in the future to include other technical and creative roles such as programmers and coders, depending on evolving business needs and digital growth strategies.

Faisal Farooq Khan, Chief Human Resources Officer at Bank Alfalah, emphasized the transformative potential of the initiative, saying, “At Bank Alfalah, we value providing equal employment opportunities to individuals facing challenges in conventional workplaces. Alfalah Worklee is a step towards breaking barriers, offering people from all walks of life the flexibility to work remotely and become financially independent. Our vision is to create a truly inclusive work environment where talent, not physical constraints, determine financial independence.”

The Worklee app is freely available for download on both Android via the Google Play Store and iOS via the Apple App Store. Users can complete a straightforward onboarding process that includes registration, assessments, and training modules, allowing them to become job-ready and begin providing services remotely in eligible roles.

This launch marks another significant milestone in Bank Alfalah’s journey as a digitally progressive and socially responsible institution. By merging technology with inclusivity, the bank is setting a new precedent in the country’s employment landscape. Worklee is not only a recruitment tool—it is a platform that brings flexibility, empowerment, and meaningful opportunities to the forefront, proving that with the right technology and intent, workplaces can be reimagined to serve everyone.

As Pakistan continues to embrace digital transformation, initiatives like Worklee highlight the growing importance of inclusive fintech and HR tech solutions that serve the underrepresented and help build a more equitable future for all.
