Pakistan Tobacco Company Goes Live on FBR’s Digital Invoicing System via Haball Platform

Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC), one of the leading tobacco companies in Pakistan, has officially gone live on the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) digital invoicing system through the Haball platform. This milestone highlights the company’s commitment to embracing digital transformation and adhering to modern compliance standards, signaling a significant move towards automation and transparency in Pakistan’s corporate sector.

The implementation of digital invoicing aligns with the broader vision of modernizing tax reporting processes and ensuring regulatory compliance in real time. By integrating with FBR’s digital invoicing system, PTC can now streamline its tax reporting, reduce manual errors, and enhance transparency across its operations. The integration also supports the country’s larger agenda of digitizing financial systems to promote efficiency and accountability among businesses.

The success of this integration was made possible through close collaboration between PTC’s internal team and Haball’s Global Technical Facilitator RTC team. The Pakistan Tobacco Company team, including Tariq Aziz, Hamid Usman, Peter Lahoud, Sami Zaman, Sadam Hussain, Sandra Sequeira, and Pei Lee Lim, played a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition to the digital system. Their efforts were complemented by Haball’s technical experts, including Ridvan Yigit (CEO & Founder), Bülent Balcı, Erkam Gör, Yüksel Ertem, Gülnaz, and Ahu Çağlayan, who provided guidance and support throughout the implementation process.

Haball, a leading digital solutions provider, has been actively enabling organizations across Pakistan to adopt advanced technological tools for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. With PTC going live on the FBR’s digital invoicing system, Haball continues to demonstrate its commitment to driving digital transformation and helping corporations set new benchmarks for innovation in the country.

This achievement also reflects the growing trend of corporate digitization in Pakistan, where regulatory authorities such as the FBR, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) are increasingly promoting technology-driven compliance solutions. Industry bodies, including the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), the Pakistan Business Council, OICCI (Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry), and local tax bar associations like Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) and Lahore Tax Bar Association, have supported initiatives that encourage businesses to transition to automated systems.

The move towards digital invoicing is expected to have a broader impact on the Pakistani business landscape by improving tax compliance, reducing paperwork, and fostering a culture of transparency. Companies that adopt such digital platforms can also benefit from faster reporting, enhanced data accuracy, and better integration with national regulatory frameworks, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and accountable corporate ecosystem.

Pakistan Tobacco Company’s successful integration with the FBR’s digital invoicing system sets a benchmark for other organizations looking to embrace digital compliance solutions. As more businesses follow suit, the corporate sector in Pakistan is poised to benefit from increased automation, improved transparency, and streamlined operations, paving the way for a technologically advanced and compliant business environment.
